Academic career

Park completed a Master of Arts titled Tawhaki the analysis of a Polynesian myth at the University of Otago.[1] Park then joined the faculty of the University of , rising to full professor in YEAR.

Honorary Life Member, and on 2024 executive committee of, Association of Social Anthropologists of Aotearoa/New Zealand. Chair of the Kākano Committee [2]
