Although I've been a Wikipedia contributor since August 2008, edits made from my work computer were attributed to a different IP address, causing a multi-year gap in my contribution log.

I'm more of an editor than a contributor, making minor technical corrections on obscure points within various historical entries (e.g., Burmese Governor-Generals and namesakes of gun batteries within coast defense forts). As an "independent historian" (i.e., someone who earned a degree, but makes no money from it!) I usually check and double-check my sources, including primary sources, before making a change, so if you want to reverse a correction I've made, please let me know your basis and I will provide you with the source(s) for mine, so we can avoid misinforming Wikipedia readers.
