My main interests

• Indo-Tibetan (Vajrayāna) Buddhism, particularly the history, philosophy and practices of the Nyingma Dzogchen & Kagyū Mahamudra traditions

Areas of particular interest:

• The Philosopher-Yogis: the renaissance men of the Nyingma tradition -- they personify the non-duality of intellect and spirit; outstanding examples include Longchen Rabjam Drimé Ozer, Rongzom Pandita Chökyi Zangpo and Mipham Jamyang Namgyal Gyamtso
• The Guhyagarbha Tantra: its history, its influence on the development of the Nyingma tradition, and the various commentaries it inspired
