Background
edit- I'm a public defender from New Jersey.
- I adhere strictly to NPOV (neutral point of view) to the greatest extent of my ability.
What people have said about me
editDespite my best efforts, I have become rather divisive figure around here...People either love me or hate me.
- I've done a "massive number of fine law-oriented edits"
- I use "arbitrary standards" in my edits
- "the site could really benefit from more editors, and admins, like you"
- I would "easily pass an RFA" (that didn't happen)
- I'm "smug and divisive"
- I'm a self-important jackass
- Apparently, I have no knowledge about anything "beyond comic-books, tv trivia, blockbuster movies and artificial sports", even though I have never edited on any of those subjects.
Interests
edit- Law, particularly various areas of commercial law, property law, civil procedure, antitrust, etc.
- Earth sciences, especially geology
- Geography and geographic information systems
- History and Politics of the USA and other countries
- Economics and finance
- Heavy Metal music
Stuff I do on Wikipedia
editThis editor is a Veteran Editor IV and is entitled to display this Gold Editor Star. |
- Creating articles, mostly on legal topics, but also on some other stuff. I think of myself more as a "gap-filler", trying to find missing topics and adding or expanding coverage of them where possible.
- I've been focusing on legal topics mainly because when I first started here (in the spring of 2006), there was a real dearth of good legal articles on Wikipedia.
- Additionally, I've been trying to expand Wikipedia's coverage of law firms and state governments (including state courts and secretaries of state/commonwealth).
- I have also done some work on Heavy metal music.
- Creating categories where needed and adding them to articles.
- Creating redirects where necessary.
- Some copy editing, spelling/grammar/punctuation corrections, and adding needed formatting when necessary.
- The occasional new page patrol.
- Blah blah blah, etc.
Projects I'm involved with
edit- WikiProject Law
- WikiProject U.S. Supreme Court cases
- WikiProject United States courts and judges
- WikiProject Metal
