Eilidh Laura Simpson (born 11 September 1992) is a British female professional basketball player. She was part of the England Team that [1]won silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games held on the Gold Coast. Eilidh has dual citizenship with Australia and Great Britain.

Eilidh was born and raised[2] in Melbourne, Australia. She took up the sport of basketball at age 6 and never looked back. After completing High School in 2010 she received a scholarship to attend St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY in the NCAA Division 1 2011-2015. Eilidh had a successful collegiate career, she captained the team her Freshmen, Sophomore and Senior years. She became a member of the 1000 point club. The Terriers [3]won the Northeast Conference in 2015 and went to the NCAA Tournament, facing the national champions University of Connecticut. Eilidh graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Health Promotion and minoring in Sports Management.

After University Eilidh went on and played professionally. Starting her career in Spain playing in the top Liga Feminia. She has played in Spain, France, United Kingdom and most recently Czech Republic.

Eilidh made her debut for the Great Britain Senior women in 2011 against Italy. She played in the 2015 and 2019 EuroBaskets. Currently she has 47 caps.
