Eurosub submersible new article content ...

The “EuroSub” submarine, which at depths up to 250 meters can operate. It is designed, in addition to the pilot, one or two observers place. A large acrylic dome to the front and top and two side portholes to allow an optimum view. Maximal 36 hours the U-boat with full crew can remain under water.

Two side-mounted electric motors each with 900 watts to 360 degrees rotatable and a rear engine to make the submarine extremely manoeuvrable and allow for trips even greater flow. With technical equipment such as compass, GPS navigation, echo sounder, depth gauge, radio, music system and a strong headlight plant, the submarine “EuroSub” for search and rescue operations. Additional equipment is easily to existing equipment makers are appropriate, so that virtually

all types of underwater operations are feasible. The dimensions of the submarine “EuroSub” allow transport on the road, rail, container and even in the air. With a weight of approximately 2.5 tons of it may still large transport helicopters transported. The operational area of the submarine is relatively large. In order to rough waters, such as North or Baltic Sea to operate, the “EuroSub” is equipped with a detachable tower.

The submarine is stationed in Hemmoor on a special trailer. It serves the exploration of diving waters, and the search for missing divers and objects. Other areas include support of underwater expeditions and film shoots, or the control of underwater structures.

The second Eurosub is currently under construction and will have a 400 Metres depth rating. It is sheduled for test in autumm 2011
