Cyril Cullen Irish international designer, Cyril Cullen, is famous for revolutionising Irish knitwear and, in particular, the Aran sweater. Now based in 15th century Farney Castle in Co. Tipperary, Cyril has designed for some of the world's best-dressed women. Described by Adele Astaire as 'a second Balenciaga', Cyril's designs have become iconic in the international fashion world. In 2005, a book entitled Knot Sure: The Life and Work of Irish Fashion Designer, Cyril Cullen, was published by Blackwater Press and written by the designer's youngest daughter, Margot.
