Emma Maezin (she/her)

Emma Maezin is the stage name of a Sheffield drag queen musician that came onto the scene in 2017 when she performed in Drag Idol UK. Emma joined the Sheffield drag cabaret show “The Funky Beaver Show” in her early years alongside founders “Vivian Twist” and “Miss Cleo”. Emma performed as an official “Funky Beaver” for just two short years at several events such as “Beaver Las Vegas”, “Walking In A Beaver Wonderland”, Sheffield Pride and Worksop’s “Pride Nights”. Emma still frequently collaborates with The Funky Beaver Show as well as fellow drag queens, “Ditzy O’Darlin’, ‘Ivy Alexxander’ and ‘Kylie Rey’.

Emma Maezin released her debut single “MADE” on July 27th 2019 which received airplay on local the station, BBC Radio Sheffield. Her follow up single “Crossroads” was released on September 6th 2019 which has an accompanying music video shot and edited by “Stephanie Westell Productions”. Later that year in 2019, Emma released her debut album with her long term bae (boyfriend), Jez Knowles titled “Acoustic Together” (Acoustic songs about ‘sticking together). The album features original acoustic songs including; “Home is Where The Heart Is”, “Let The Love In”, “Wedding Day”, “Mama Didn’t Raise No Quitter”, “Romantic Comedy”, “Time Flies By”, “A Little Rain” and “Happy Ever After”. A follow up acoustic album is currently in the creative process from the loved-up duo. Emma is planning to release the new untitled album and upcoming single “Friday Feeling” early in 2022.

Emma Maezin has performed at several local Pride events such as “Sheffield Pride”, “Worksop Pride”, “Rotherham Pride” and “Doncaster Pride. She has also been a featured guest many times on BBC Radio Sheffield and has performed “Let The Love In” live on air.

In Emma’s personal life she is also working hard on her debut fantasy novel, titled “PAiGE”, with the hopes of releasing it in 2022. She was also an extra in the movie adaption of “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie”. Emma performed with the inspiration behind the film, “Jamie Campbell” at their event “Fifi And Friends” at Sheffield Hallam HUBs.
