CCleaner (formerly known as "Crap Cleaner") is a freeware utility which removes unused and unnecessary files from Windows and applications such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, etc. The utility also locates and corrects problems such as unused file extensions and application paths in the Windows registry. CCleaner also assists with uninstalling applications and controlling what programs are run at startup.
