Our goal is to get the number of Stub-Class articles below 600. The current count is 625. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
TNA has posted a notice on their official website detailing a release of wrestler Kaz. This has been reported to be kayfabe by numerous other sites, but be prepared to revert edits to Kaz's article regarding this as well as List of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling alumni

Jersey
Where are you getting that the Friday the 13th films are set in New Jersey? BIGNOLE (Contact me) 13:06, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Common knowledge, son. --EndlessDan 13:23, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Since it was never stated in the films, where is this knowledge actually located? Especially since they filmed in Connecticut and all the cars had Connecticut license plates. They never actually say where Crystal Lake is. The location has been filmed in various states, including California. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 15:50, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Have you ever been to Jersey? Point, set & match. --EndlessDan 15:56, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
I appreciate the apology. I didn't take any of it to heart. What was said on this page stayed here. Cheers! BIGNOLE (Contact me) 21:50, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
California Waiting
Long timey-no speaky. How's it hangin, doc? Well, football season is upon us. God what a glorious fucking time of the year. I'll miss the beach, but shit, I'll take Eli over strange wool any day of the week. ... Not really. But it sounded hard core, no? If you're asking me now; My peoples over these scumbags. I've got dynasty on my mind. Also, another Tony Homo melt down in the playoffs. Oh and don't get me started on this piece of shit. I mean, really. He tugs the chain every single fucking year and now he's crying cause his spot was taken. I love how BSPN defend him to no end. That annoys me. I'm interested to hear your take on this whole fiasco. Especially since this could effect you and your boys. Coolio, EndlessDan 16:57, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Stop trolling
You've been blocked for poor behavior before. Stop it or you may get blocked again. Friday(talk) 21:50, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Ugh. What am I trolling, Monday? --EndlessDan 21:58, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Who is he trolling? I'm not seeing it. Keeperǀ76 21:59, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm assuming it was my 'Why Not?' question. That was legit. What happened to the Rock Hudson/Clint Eastwood types? I even noted that it had nothing to do with the 'Why' question (which was a joke). I don't want to escalate this. The question was removed and it is what it is. --EndlessDan 22:03, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Trolling, as far as I'm aware, involves following another editor from "page to page" and contradicting that person's input, or overposting on a given user's talkpage. E-dan, at least as far as I can tell, isn't doing that? Again, seriously, what am I missing? (and dan, I saw the why/why not stuff, recommending to a stranger that they should "beat their kid with a belt" is probably not a good idea in the future). Still, not seeing the trolling? Keeperǀ76 22:05, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
That's what I'd call "stalking", not trolling. No, I don't see where Dan is harassing other editors in that way. Friday(talk) 22:07, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Here is a diff of someone removing the nonsense. Dan, you've been complained at before for calling other editors "facists" and the like. Continuing in this way is not helpful. Friday(talk) 22:06, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
I endorse the removal of that thread. But it isn't "trolling", just stupid. Keeperǀ76 22:09, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Keep sighing, Dan. And don't call anyone a fascist. Or endorse beating children at the helpdesk. It's too close to football season, and I need your pipelinks at my talkpage to break the monotony of gripes. Keeperǀ76 22:17, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Heh. WTF are you linking Fonzie for? Are you hoping I (or you) can snap your fingers and make the problem go away? No such luck, my friend. Just please don't advocate beating another human, regardless of your personal ideology, on wiki. It won't get you far, joking or not. PW and NFL need you and your saneness. Keeperǀ76 22:27, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm trying to be cool like Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli. Trying. How about Favre? What a P.O.S. --EndlessDan 12:04, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Fav-rah? He's out of my league. Literally. Calling it now: Fav-rah (I refuse to say Farv like he wants), gets hurt in game 1 reg season. Strained something or other, probably a leg, being that he's ancient. Have fun beating the hell out of the Jets this year, glad I don't have to deal with him anymore :-) Keeperǀ76 14:46, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Life on the edge, E-dan. Life on the edge. I wish other's "got" you better, you absolutely crack me up. I'm pretty sure I would in all sincerety, support your "real RFA". Screw the blocklog. Keeperǀ76 17:00, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Congrats on your successful Talk:RFA thread, new honorary admin!
Dammit. I just clicked on your "penguin" replacement, above. Bastard. How'my gonna sleep tonight? Dammit. Keeperǀ76 20:03, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need a therapist by the time I'm done with this fucking place. I blame you, mostly, but I'm sure the therapist will tell me it really isn't dan, it's my dad's fault. He was the one that beat me with a belt, not dan... Keeperǀ76 20:16, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
heh. I'm glad you caught the reference, as I recall the last time I posted here was to warn you not to advocate "beating your kids", in reference to the ref desk. My dad didn't beat me. Maybe he should've though, perhaps I'd be motivated to get a real job and stop dicking around on Wikipedia. (did I really just say that????) Keeperǀ76 21:00, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Thunder Express
I have nominated Thunder Express, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thunder Express. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Anger22 (Talk 2 22) 12:19, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Someone nicked your redirect and turned it into a page about an unknown Swedish band. Ignore the AfD message. It is just an auto-gen when you use Twinkle to create an AfD. Anger22 (Talk 2 22) 12:21, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Re:Help 2
Their arguments seem fairly sound- exactly where the picture was taken from in terms of which tag to use isn't frightfully important- they have a source, they have a copyright holder, they have a sound rationale. I can't see any reason to delete the image. While I'm here, I wouldn't recommend using that admin symbol on your userpage when you're not an admin- it's deceptive, and links to 'shock' imagery generally don't go down well. J Milburn (talk) 19:47, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
No, it's not an image to show what he looks like, it's an image to show his time with Kurt Cobain/Nirvana, which obviously can't be replaced. You could try and argue the image is not needed- as in, it's purely decorative- but the article passed an FAC, so I doubt you would get anywhere. And I don't know or care what an honorary administrator is, but I still don't feel that links to shock images and implying you are an administrator when you're not (regardless of what games more suited to social networking sites have said) are appropriate. I mean, you're hardly setting a good example, and you're completely destroying the point of real administrators using that symbol. I would generally remove such notices myself from new users and leave them a warning... J Milburn (talk) 20:09, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Because my participation as a Wikipedia editor has been questioned, and if I continue as I have in the past, I can expect future challenges as well, I have begun a standing RfC in my user space, at User:Abd/RfC. There is also a specific incident RfC at User:Abd/RfC/8.11.08 block. I understand that you may not have time to participate directly; however, if you wish to be notified of any outcome from the general or specific RfC, or if you wish to identify a participant or potential participant as one generally trusted by you, or otherwise to indicate interest in the topic(s), please consider listing yourself at User:Abd/RfC/Proxy Table, and, should you so decide, naming a proxy as indicated there. Your designation of a proxy will not bind you, and your proxy will not comment or vote for you, but only for himself or herself; however, I may consider proxy designations in weighing comment in this RfC, as to how they might represent the general community. You may revoke this designation at any time. This RfC is for my own guidance as to future behavior and actions, it is advisory only, upon me and on participants. This notice is going to all those who commented on my Talk page in the period between my warning for personal attack, assumptions of bad faith, and general disruption, on August 11, 2008, until August 20, 2008. This is not a standard RfC; because it is for my advice, I assert authority over the process. However, initially, all editors are welcome, even if otherwise banned from my Talk space or from the project. Canvassing is permitted, as far as I'm concerned; I will regulate participation if needed, but do not spam. Notice of this RfC may be placed on noticeboards or wikiprojects, should any of you think this appropriate; however, the reason for doing this in my user space is to minimize disruption, and I am not responsible for any disruption arising from discussion of this outside my user space. Thanks for considering this. --Abd (talk) 02:37, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Wfanlogo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Wfanlogo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:10, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
The Reboot of Wikiproject New Jersey has certainly stirred up some new activity at the project. Discussion on several improvements and new initiatives have been going on at the talk page. There has been an involved discussion regarding our 118unassessed articles, especially those on municipalities. The current goal is to review and assess all 566 New Jersey muncipality articles by September 30. A suggestion has been made to intiate Wikipedia Takes New Jersey to begin clearing the large backlog of articles needing photos. Let's all grab our cameras and head out into the vast wilds of the Garden State. Town Halls, High Schools, Historic Places - every article deserves a picture.
The following articles may be in need of attention:
WPNJ member Mm40 has volunteered to coordinate a new WPNJ Collaboration project. It's been a while since we used the NJCOTW and new volunteers are needed. Join the discussion to volunteer.
Battle of Trenton was recently proposed as a Featured Article candidate. It was not promoted, but has now been nominated for A-Class review through the Military History WikiProject. Take a look at their A-Class FAQ. As we need to set up our own process for reviewing A-Class articles, it may be worth watching the process.
Please welcome the following new members to WikiProject New Jersey:
The redesign has been well received. There are still some things left to do. This newsletter was one big check mark off the list. Hopefully this can be continued on a regular basis. There are literally thousands of articles in Category:New Jersey that have not been tagged as part of the project, and stub sorting hasn't been run in 10 months. We will need to identify some friendly bot operators to help with these projects. An outreach department (which includes the newsletter) needs to be formalized. Creating an invitation template for easy placement on userpages will also be part of that effort.
There are lots of best practices described at the WikiProject Council with ideas of how to make our project more responsive, welcoming, active, and effective. Task forces? Peer review? Other ideas welcome!
I just wanted to say that the response to my bold makeover of WPNJ has been gratifying, but nothing will improve the project as much as more activity, and that means more members. There are lots of things to do in this new setup, and everyone with an interest should be able to find a way to contribute to the collaboration. I want to thank you all for the patience, the appreciation, and the effort. - Jim Miller
