National Farmers' Day is a public holiday observed in Ghana on every first Friday of December. This holiday is to mainly honour deserving farmers and fishermen in Ghana, it is organised by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. The awards given out are donated by companies and other co-operate bodies within the country.
