editHis Grace Archbishop Abune Henok was born on October 4, 1959 in Gimbi , West Welega Zone.As soon as he was old enough to go to school, he completed his modern education at Gimbi Primary and Secondary School.In Gimbi, Debre Tsehai Medhanealem Church, where he studied Spritual education and became a deacon, received the title of deacon from His Grace Abune Zena Markos in 1967. He then went to Debre Libanos Monastery where he studied monastic books and various subjects.He then went to Gojjam, where he studied Mertulemariam Monastery in Gojjam. In 1985, he was ordained a monk by the then Abba hayle eyesus, who was ordained by His Grace Abune Zekarias in 1986.He has been serving as the administrator of Nekemt Genet Eyesus Church since 1992 and is the ninth of 32 bishops elected on July 14, 1997. He received a bachelor's degree in management from St. Mary's University, a master's degree in business administration from RV University and a bachelor's degree in management from the International Business Management Institute in Berlin, Germany. In addition to the Diocese of West Welega, he also presided over the Diocese of Kelem Welega and Benishangul-Gumuz, both domestically. Abroad in Australia and New Zealand, and is currently presiding over the Diocese of West Arsi. The diocese of West Arsi is now one of the dioceses in the church, despite the many achievements they have made in the diocese where they have been blessed It is noteworthy that they were the first diocese to establish its own media Tewahedo Media Center.
