El Pavo Bakery is a family owned and operated business based in Los Angeles, CA. There are 5 locations in San Gabriel, Glendale, Boyle Heights, Lincoln Heights, and East Los Angeles [1]. El Pavo bakery mainly serves working class communities and sells Mexican inspired pan dulce and food. The first bakery was founded in 1962 by Pedro Vasquez, a Mexican immigrant from Monterrey, Mexico. The bakery is still owned by members of Pedro's family to this day.
