Joan De Arc
Joan De Arc, this article is very detail it does explain who she was and what other nicknames she went by, on the wikipedia it describes why she became so well known throughout time. She was a heroine of France during the Lancastrian phase of the Hundred Years' War and was canonized as a Roman Catholic saint. She died at the age of 19, hung and burnt she was captured at Compiègne by the Burgundian faction, which was allied with the English. She was also known because she visioned messages from the archangel Michael Saint Margaret, and Saint Catherine of Alexandria instructing her to support Charles VII and recover France from English domination late in the Hundred Years' War. The Wikipedia seems fairly accurate of who she was and what ended up happening to her throughout the last days of her life. Nearly a century later is when she was actually well known and loved for what she did for France; Pope Callixtus III examined the trial then debunked the charges against her, they also declared her innocent after all, and declared her a martyr. She was declared a saint by 1920. The only thing that did get off topic from one thing to the next after you finish reading about her; it goes straight into the “background” I thought it would start out by talking about her own background as in her life and who she was as a teenager. It starts by talking about what the Hundred years’ War was, which that is perfectly fine in a way because that was where she fought and what made her become known and recognized for what she did for France. I thought that perhaps throughout the end of the “background it would talk a little more about who she was but, it started to describe France and the black death as well. Although she was born on January 6, 1412; I would figure that not much about her own life would be known for that she became famous for what she did and nothing before that ever mattered. The “Talk” on the article does not show much information from others, someone did state that the article was very much complete but if anything ever needed to be updated that they should do so. This article is rated as a FA-Class, it has been identified as one of the best articles in the wikipedia community. I also did a little more deep on the research I looked into wikipedia citations on the article and they were pretty actuate I did look into one citing that was not found perhaps it was outdated, I did not find anything that could have been plagiarized. I know that her article perhaps was a little hard to put together since it has been centuries that she passed away so this article had to be well thought and put together and by the looks of it, it looks well written and look pretty good with a lot of information and citations since I know a lot of her history had to be looked for.

J.K Rowling
This woman is whom wrote the books of Harry Potter, not only did she write the books she also is a screen writer and a film producer. She became well known when they books became published they won multiple awards and 400 million copies were sold. She has become known for the best selling book series in history. Although it does talk about all her effort and everything she did to become famous she did not have it easy, she wanted to into Oxfard University but was not accepted, although with time she did graduate from a university and many of the stories that were written in her Harry Potter books were places that she had been to and seen such as the elephant house this the place where she would write all the Harry Potter novels and she does mention the elephant bar in her Harry Potter novels which is her first. In the article is seems pretty well written, the article does not go off topic of who she was before and after she became famous for her novels. She was married and had a daughter with time she divorced because she faced abuse at home with not having anything she became known as one of the most famous best selling novelist. It is well written and well detailed, it gives explanations of the areas of the book and where she decided to get her ideas from. The article is rated as a FA-Class, with being one of the most identified well written articles in the wikipedia community. The article could perhaps add a little information of why her childhood was very unhappy since her mother was always sick, it does mention that she was affected by the death of her mother but it doesn't say what she had and what she had to go through, did J.K Rowling had to take care of her mother if it was the reason her childhood was unhappy or why was it that made it unhappy? Article is well detailed since it does tell me about all the novels that were published it doesn't just talk about the novels about Harry Potter but it also mentions the short stories and a few other written stories made by her. While looking into the citations all seem fairly new and they are not plagiarized they all link me back to websites about her life and what the novels.

Wikipedia Reflection: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia chichis fee and can be edited just by anyone who has an account I was able to get hands on into the webpage itself and discover that Wikipedia is a very useful source, although many people do not rely on its credibility since just about anyone can edit the page. I believe Wikipedia is very helpful; there is many information that is very important that wikipedia provide each day, there is always current news uploaded onto wikipedia. Although it is an open source and anyone can edit onto the web page itself I have discovered that usually men are the ones who edit the page more often then woman do and that usually the information is written by University students or professors. With the search that I have made with Wikipedia have made me feel like the information that is provided is valuable to the information given. I also discovered while editing subs that there are talk pages for the articles where you can talk with the rest of the Wikipedia writers, you have to show respect and be polite to one another, you can be blocked if you are discovered being disrespectful with other editors. As we all know plagiarism is illegal anywhere else; we always have to cite our source where we receive our information, we could not use word for word. We have to be able to use our own words to express each article with valuable facts and important detail. Wikipedia proves writers with a sandbox in their edit pages, you can write anything on that edit page it is for your own eyes and you can write anything you want to edit so you can just make it much easier to paste onto the article you will edit onto. In class we were able to assign ourselves in an article with low rates; I edited an article names August 2015 Egypt Bombings, I edited a couple of information that was not edited previously, the information that I edited was left and was not removed for the moment. I ran into a few articles that I wouldn't think even expect to exist; it was hard being able to find information on articles that had very low rates some articles were only provided with one sentence or a few, Wikipedia made me feel like anyone can edit it, so looking into a few sources that are used should be helpful to know that anything that is being mentioned onto the article is 100% accurate. There is possibility that you might do more research than you think; by looking onto the sources that wikipedia provides but you will be able to identify the credibility within the content itself by doing further investigation. I have also found out that wikipedia is used by more men than woman, which I find it very odd. Could it be because only men are interested in editing the website or is it because wikipedia only allows men to edit the page.
