editOverstreet was born in Nashville, Tennessee, (born January 3, 1986) to make-up artist Julie Miller and country music singer-songwriter Paul Overstreet.[1] He has an younger brother,[[ Chord Overstreet]] , and four younger sisters, Summer, Harmony, Skye and Charity.[4][5][6] He is of German, Irish, English, and "a little bit of Native American" descent
Hot Chelle Rae 2011-2012: Whatever and touring
editoverstreet is in the band Hot chelle rae Hot Chelle Rae released their second studio album, Whatever on November 29, 2011. It reached number 48 on the US Billboard 200, 25 in Australia and 21 in New Zealand. The first single taken from the album, "Tonight Tonight", released in March 2011, became a worldwide success, reaching the top ten of charts in Australia, Canada and Japan, whilst reaching number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song was certified double-platinum in the United States for sales of over two million copies. The second single, "I Like It Like That" (featuring New Boyz) was released in October 2011, reaching the top ten in New Zealand, the top twenty in Australia and Japan, and number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Honestly" was released as the third and final single from the album in March 2012. On December 31, 2011, the band performed on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest, performing "Tonight Tonight" and "I Like It Like That". On January 29, 2012, the band played at the nationally televised 2012 Pro Bowl pregame ceremonies at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, again performing the two tracks.[5] The group also performed "I Like It Like That" on the Hall of Game Awards on February 20, 2012. In March 2012, the band supported Taylor Swift on the Australian and New Zealand legs of her "Speak Now World Tour".[6][7] In the summer of 2012, the band toured with Demi Lovato. The band toured Australia and New Zealand through October to November with their "Whatever World Tour". British singer Cher Lloyd supported the band on this leg of the tour,[8] along with Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer and New Zealand boyband Titanium.
Hot Chelle Rae 2013-present: Third studio album
editHot Chelle Rae premiered a new single, "Hung Up" on January 25, 2013. It was officially released on February 12, 2013. The band also announced that their third studio album would be released soon.
