Ebbeny Faranda is currently a senior reporter/presenter for Perth’s Channel 9 News.
Born in Perth Western Australia, she studied Journalism at Curtin University graduating as a member of the Vice Chancellor’s Honour Roll.
She was first appointed breakfast news reader for Curtin FM while completing her degree.
She moved to Sydney in 2003 and began working at Radio Network 2SM.
During her years on the East Coast she was also employed at radio 2GB. As well as reporting, she also presented news bulletins including those during the Athens Olympics.
In 2005, Ebbeny started reporting for Channel Ten Sydney.
She returned home to Perth and was a part of the Channel Ten Perth news team up until 2007 when she joined Nine News.
Ebbeny was the former fill-in host for Perth’s A Current Affair and also WIN News Western Australia.
In April 2011, Ebbeny Faranda was appointed Nine News weekend presenter.
