Al-Tahhan announced that remnants of Ba'athist Syria in Jadidat al-Fadl attacked an General Security Directorate post in February 2025.[1]

He stated that the 2025 Jaramana clashes started when a Druze group, the Jaramana Shield Brigade, attacked the Syrian Ministry of Defense.[2] He also participated in the fighting.[3][4]

He announced the implementation of a security operation during the Southern Syria clashes (April–May 2025) to repel attacks in Jaramana[5] and Sahnaya with members of the General Security Service, which ended successfully with the capture of several Druze militants[6][7] and the return of "security and stability."[8]

On 25 May 2025, he was appointed Internal Security commander of Rif Dimashq Governorate, as part of a broader organizational restructuring by the Syrian Ministry of Interior.[9]

On 26 May he declared that an intensive monitoring and tracking operation had begun to track the movements of ISIS cells in areas in Western Ghouta, including: Al-Kiswah, Deir Khabiyeh, Al-Maqiliyah and Zakia.[10][better source needed]

On 2 September, he was appointed commander of Internal Security in Suwayda Governorate, succeeding Ahmed al-Dalati.[11] Furthermore, al-Dalati succeeded him as Internal Security head in Rif Dimashq Governorate.[12]
