Antonia M. Forster (born 1951) is an Australian scholar of English literature. An Emeritus Professor of the University of Akron, she is a winner of the British Academy's Rose Mary Crawshay Prize for 1992.

Life

Antonia Margaret Forster was born in 1951 in Australia.

Forster obtained her BA and MA degrees from Flinders University in Adelaide, and her doctorate from the University of Melbourne in 1986.[1]

She was an instructor at the Northern Illinois University (1985–1986) after which she joined the University of Akron as an assistant professor in the English department. She became a full professor in 1999, and emeritus professor in.

In 1984, she married William Proctor Williams, then a professor at Northern Illinois University.[2]
