Felix Hardmood Beck

Felix Hardmood Beck, born in Düsseldorf, Germany, in October 1978, Beck is a designer, researcher and educator. Born under the name Felix Hartmut Beck, Google changed his name in one of the companies early translation services. Beck states that since then he uses the name Hardmood as his synonym and artist name. He studied at the University of Arts Berlin in the New Media Class of Prof. Joachim Sauter. From 2015–2020 he was appointed Assistant Professor of Practice of Design at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYAUD). Since October 2020 he is Visiting Research Professor at NYUAD's Center of Interacting Urban Networks (Cities). In September 2020 he got appointed as full Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Münster, at the Münster School of Design (MSD).
