“Physics is like sex: sure, it may give some practical results, but that's not why we do it.”
— Richard P. Feynman
"What I now think is that WP repels newcomers pretty much the same way Dark Souls does. Whenever you want to go on a hike, you end up with a spear up your (Redacted).
The learning curve is basically a Heaviside step function."— Me, May 2020
I am a Physicist working in the field of X-Ray NDT.
My first experience was in medical physics.
More specifically, I worked on Monte Carlo simulations for a blood radiation counter used in PET imaging and GPU accelerated dosimetry algorithms for use in low dose-rate brachytherapy.
I changed subjects along the way and started working on Industrial radiography.
Currently, my specialty is Radiographic Testing, Computer Vision, Radiation/X-Ray image simulations, Assisted Defect Recognition and Radiation protection.
I joined wikipedia in 2011 but I did not have time to add any real content.
That's why, instead of actively participating on articles, I have proudly been donating during fundraisers. Well, when I could... You know being a grad student and all XD
Thank you for visiting!
P.S. Feel free to leave a request in my talk page!
Disclaimer: I suffer from this, it will sometimes make me seem very intense. Please take the time to advise me, or tell me to slow down if you ever feel I am being too intense. Thanks.
Work in progress
- Cleanup and revamping of the Industrial radiography page
- Separating and adding more information on ionizing radiation sources, especially X-ray tubes and linear accelerators
- Completing the radiation safety section. It is a very particular field when it comes to safety and our readers should be referred to the appropriate information. A safe work environment is very important to me.
