Matheus Zerbini Massa, better known as Zerb is a Brazilian DJ and electronic music producer. His music is characterized by the house and pop music genres, specifically tropical house, deep house, future house and progressive house.
Biography and Career
editMatheus Zerbini Massa was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil on December 25, 1997. As a child, he learned to play various instruments, including the guitar, piano and drums.
In 2012, at 14 years old, he developed an interest in electronic music, and, inspired by DJs like Skrillex and Deadmau5, he began to produce his own songs and post them on YouTube and SoundCloud[1].
In 2015, he began to post remixes on the Internet, and caught the attention of Brazilian music producer, Vintage Culture. Together, they released a remix of ZHU's song, "Faded". With the success of the track, Zerb joined the the management agency, Entourage, and began performing around Brazil. That same year, Zerb was confirmed as one of the artists performing at Lollapalooza in 2016[2].
In 2016, Zerb enrolled in the Advertising course at the University of São Paulo. He graduated in 2019[3].
In 2017, Zerb performed at Rock in Rio.
In 2018, he released the song "With You", featuring Giulia Be[4]. A pop and tropical house track, this song peaked at number 9 on the Spotify viral charts.
In 2019, he partnered with singer and teen celebrity, Júlia Gomes and DJs Sandeville and Duncan. Together, they released the song "Wherever U Wanna Go". That same year, they released an acoustic version of the song with the singer, Fiuk.
In 2020, together with the Italian DJ, Noto, and the Belgian artist, Marc Benjamin, Zerb released the track "Like 2 Party. This song reached number 1 on the electro house chart on Beatport.
Currently, Zerb is represented by Plus Network[5].
