Hello! I am an avid researcher and enthusiast of Northeast Indian history and culture. I am a PhD candidate at JNU, Special Centre for the Study of North East India. My primary focus is on understanding the rich and diverse heritage of this unique region, encompassing its historical narratives, linguistic diversity, cultural practices, and contemporary issues.

Areas of Interest

History of Northeast India: Exploring the historical events, ancient kingdoms, colonial impacts, and post-independence developments in the Northeast.
Cultural Heritage: Delving into the traditional customs, festivals, art forms, and societal structures of the various ethnic groups in the region.
Linguistic Diversity: Studying the multitude of languages spoken in Northeast India, including efforts to preserve endangered languages.
Contemporary Issues: Engaging with modern challenges and developments in the Northeast, such as political dynamics, economic progress, and social changes.

Contributions

I aim to contribute to Wikipedia by:

Expanding articles related to Northeast Indian history and culture.
Providing detailed information on lesser-known ethnic groups and their traditions.

My goals

I am planning to work on Wikipedia entries about Northeast India. My goal is to make the region known by highlighting its eminent personalities, organizations, cultures, and everything else concerning the Northeast Region (NER), so that everyone can learn about what the region is truly about.
