Francesco D’Astici was born in Italy and trained at the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in London. He is an assistant professor at Taipei National University of the Arts and has guest coaching training for professional dance companies.

From 1994 to 2008, he was a former Dancer of Kiel Ballet, Stadttheater Pforzheim Ballet in Germany, Adonais Ballet Company in England, where he danced many classical and contemporary works. Later on, he joined the musical “Cats” choreography by Jillian Lynn, covering and playing the principal role of Mr. Mistoffolees. He was an assistant choreographer, rehearsal director in “Notre Dame de Paris”( London and Rome). Joined Adventures in Motion, covering and playing the main role Swan & Stranger in “Swan Lake” world tour (Athens Festival, Adelaide Festival, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Ravenna Dance Festival)and “Nutcracker” London and UK tour. Worked with Adam Cooper for the musical “On your toes”(London and Japan tour). David Bintley “The Pajama Game”( London and Toronto). Martino Muller “Cindy” ( NDP Project Paris). He was also a featured dancer in the movie “Beyond the sea” directed and starring Kevin Spacey.

Further collaboration includes Huidance company(The Door, Scenery), Cultural Affairs Bureau, Tainan City Government(Pulcinella), Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival(Pulcinella), Taipei National University of the Arts(Burqa), Dance Division of Tsoying Senior High School(Crossing) and National Tainan Chia-Chi Senior High School(Bolero) in Taiwan.
