This is a draft about the person known as Alfreð Flóki |
Alfreð Flóki (19 December 1938 - 18 June 1987) was an Icelandic artist.
He specialized in drawing and was the only Icelandic artist to do so in his time. His photos have attracted a lot of attention, they are dark, erotic and coarse. His photos have more often than not caused a lot of public scandal. But many are fond of his art and see the beauty of his pictures.
He was born in Óðinsgata in Reykjavík. His parents were Gudrun Guðmundsdóttir Nielsen and Alfreð Nielsen. Guðrún was the daughter of Ingibjörg and Guðmundur Helgason from Reykja. Alfreð Nielsen was a Danish father in law, his father was named Niels Christian Nielsen and worked at The United Steamship Company DFDS, his mother was named Gudlaug Ólafsdóttir. His parents Ingibjargar moved to Hlid in Reykjavík in 1917. They then moved to Odin Street 4, where Guðmundur had built a large house, and Alfred Flóki grew up in his first twelve years. From there Alfred Flóki and his family moved to Bárugötu 18.
