I'm human, therefore flawed. Feel free to throw stones, but don't complain should I return the favour. :) If I leave a message anywhere, I add the page in question to my watchlist and will come back, so there's no need for talkback-templates or split conversations. But to all our own. I don't think Wikipedia should lead a holy crusade against common misconceptions. On the other hand, I don't think it exists to perpetuate Randy's skeletons.

editOn Google as a source
editI strongly disagree with using Google numbers as a primary source. Google results may be a more or less reasonable hint, or means of direction. But as a source, they should only be used if there is absolutely no other source available. Google represents a mass of pages of unknown credibility, many of those might just copy information from others. One false input might be repeated over and over again, but that does not make it right. At some point during his political career, the Wikipedia-entry on Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, current Minister of Defence of Germany, was vandalized by adding an additional name into the long line of names he's got. Next day, this was present in a maiority of german media, thereby exposing the amount of mere copying that goes on in today's media. Maybe a tall claim, but significant when regarding Google, or other search engines, as sources. They are prone to fall victim to such misrepresentations.
