Esprit Pezenas
Esprit Pezenas (1692 - 1776) was a Jesuit, astronomer, mathematician, professor of hydrography, and director of the Marseille Observatory.
Biography
editBorn and died in Avignon, Esprit Pezenas entered the Society of Jesus in 1709. He first taught humanities, but in 1728 he received the chair of hydrography in the Marseille Observatory, and in 1749, he became director there.
