Bio
editMy actual name is Gregory van Buskirk
I hold a B.S. in Chemistry from U.C. Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCLA
I am currently employed as a Research Fellow at The Clorox Company, where I have been employed since 1980. I also was an exchange scientist with Henkel KGaA of Duesseldorf, Germany in 1992-1993.
I have been responsible for technology and product development at various levels:
- Co-inventor on over four dozen patents and patent applications relating to laundry and hard surface cleaning
- Managed and/or contributed to the introduction of dozens of commercial products
I am a member of the American Chemical Society, American Oil Chemists Society, and Consumer Specialty Products Association. In the latter capacity, I serve on the Executive Committee for the Cleaning Products Division, as well as co-chair of its Education Committee.
Apropos nothing in particular to do with Wikipedia, I have been married to the same wonderful lady since 1977, and we share our lives with two canine soul-mates (Border Collie mixes).
