In the episode 'Every One of You Sons of Bitches’, Homelander makes a claim saying he's God. Not too long before this we saw Trump’s post of an image representing him as Jesus. Homelander's covered up crimes by his Vought International's legal teams, vividly represents corruption that relates back to history. The Watergate seven were conspiring to protect President Richard M. Nixon from the Watergate scandal. In this show "The Boys", the seven can be viewed as entitled and immune from prosecution, their actions often cause death which they face no legal repercussions. Season 2, Episode 4 ("Nothing Like It in the World"), where Homelander kills a protester in front of many people, and no one intervenes due to shock or fear, as they back away. Related to this is the murder of Kitty Genovese, where time after time this show does an excellent job at relating to real world problems in our society and our justice system. Large extent of abuse of power; although in the series people praise these heroes because they think they are saved or will be, its relation to our own society is relevant.
