On this page you will find all the information you need to do basic editing. There are many ways of improving an article on wikipedia. My main aim, is to get you to a standard of editing, so that you can produce a B-class article with ease. With the basics on this page you can create the solid foundations from which a B-class article can be produced. There are further things that need to be done to an article to get it to that standard that are not on this page, however we will go into further details later. Read this page thoroughly and don't be afraid of asking question on things you don't understand, however stupid the question my seem to you.

Headings and subheadings
editOn wikipedia headings are used to cut up large chunks of text into readable sections. Under each heading is a distinct topic, such as details on someones career or details on the discography of a band. Subheadings cut up these sections into smaller, more specific sections, such as the different careers someone had or the singles and albums a band released, if there are enough details to warrant further splitting. The article on Adolf Hitler is a good example of the use of headings and subheadings.
You type | You get |

=== Subheading === |

==== Subheading 2 ==== |

If an article has at least four headings, a table of contents will automatically be generated.
