Only a small percentage of Covid-19 cases have occurred in children. Most cases are relatively mild with very low fatality rates in the under 18 age group. [1] This is similar to the first SARS outbreak.[2] The reasons for the low infection rate amongst children are not yet understood. The joint WHO-China report noted that the virus had a “low [attack rate]” in the 18 and under group, indicating a lower susceptibility of infection in children.[3] However, others have claimed that “children were as likely as adults to be attacked by the virus”[4]{Youtube |id=dcJDpV-igjs}
