Gemena is a declension (plural) of the Swedish word gemen, meaning plain, simple, common. It shares etymological roots with the German word gemein, and therefore could be said to be linked to concepts such as mean or nasty. The term is used in Swedish and Finnish typographic lexicon for lowercase letters (minuscule). The term can also refer to a city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Gemena is an occasional wiki-contributor concentrating more on writing proper content with adequate sources than fixing technical or markup issues. He admits that he doesn't have much time to hang around Wikipedia anymore. And because of that he finds himself often perplexed by the changes and new practices.
