George TheCar is a nickname given to me by Prof Pearce who was teaching a 2A Mechanical Design course, ME22 if my memory serves me well, in the winter term 1969. I tried to relate each design concept to wher it might be used in a car. One day he turned to the class, loooked at me and said, "Alright, George Thecar, what's your question today?"
The name stuck and now I even have a logo!
I grew up on a farm on the Zion line between Shawville and Bristol Quebec, moved to Arnprior in 1955 where I lived until I graduated from AHDS.
I went to the Unversity of Waterloo where I graduated from Mechanical Engineering in 1973. During my last year at Waterloo I was a "Don" in residence, N2 in Village One.
I sum up my years at Waterloo in the quote:
"I got my training as an engineer and my education as a Don"
I currently live in "Mississauga's Village on the Lake", Port Credit
