Kerala-born filmmaker, Gijo Uthuppu started his film career in the year 2000 as an Editor. After learning the ropes of the business and making his mark creating Malayalam feature films, songs, trailers, TVCs and short films; he moved to Mumbai with a dream to further his aspirations.
In 2006, he got inducted into the Squirkle "School of Film Making", a name with which, the employees, lovingly refer Adi Pocha's production house, Squirkle Productions. It is here that he was exposed to quality production of corporate films, documentaries and TVCs for clients like HUL, Ernst & Young, Mastek, etc. He had a 6 year long association with them, as an Assistant Director, Production & Lighting Executive, Editor and Tech Expert.
Subsequently, he moved to Thatzit Pvt. Ltd. in December 2012; where he continues to work as an Independent Filmmaker. He heads the Audiovisual department, and has to his credit works for several high-profile clients like Asian Paints, Bajaj, Kalpataru Builders, Marathon Builders, Raymonds etc.
