Fire Hose Games (known informally as Fire Hose) is a new game development studio based in Cambridge, MA that creates console video games for purchase through digital download. The company is currently working on its first title, a builder/brawler mash up called Slam Bolt Scrappers. The game will be released in early 2011 as a Playstation 3 exclusive on the Playstation Network.
Slam Bolt Scrappers received critical acclaim at both PAX East 2010 and E3 2010, receiving a nomination from Kotaku for Best of E3.
History
editFire Hose Games was founded in 2008 by Eitan Glinert, one of the first graduates of MIT's GAMBIT Game Lab. Two other GAMBIT alumni joined the team and they began taking on contract work in order to fund the development of their first, in-house game, Slam Bolt Scrappers.
