Scottish Independence Referendum Act 2013
editFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Scottish Independence Referendum Act 2013 is an Act of the Scottish Parliament that, together with the Scottish Independence Referendum (Franchise) Act 2013, enabled the creation of the Scottish independence referendum of 2014.
It was passed following an agreement between the Scottish and the United Kingdom governments that resolved constitutional issues that otherwise would have stood in the way of the referendum.[1]
