Retirement and Death

Pussy Shedders and Cockrells band mate Luke Boyd died on May 12, 2022. Marks retired the following day once he realized the lineup that had been formed was breaking up with Boyd’s death.

Marks died on June 17, 2022, at the age of 79 at his snowbird home in Palm Beach, Florida. Marks had been suffering from various health issues and overall failing health for the previous 15 years and had initially retired in 2008. Marks had flown to Palm Springs the previous day to close up his home for the summer. At the time of his death, Marks’ main residence was in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
