Mr Golam Gilane is a Bangladeshi Development Worker, thinker, and activist. He is currently holing the post of Deputy Team Leader of the PKSF and the World Bank Funded ‘Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE)’ project in February 2022. The RAISE project will facilitate employability and increase productivity of informal sector, and provide financial assistance to 175,000 low-income youths, micro-entrepreneurs and COVID-19 affected micro-entrepreneurs in urban and peri-urban areas across the country.
Mr Golam Gilane was born in Sulla Upazila under Sunamganj District of Sylhet, Bangladesh. He completed his primary education from his own village and SSC, HSC from Dhaka Board with highest result of the exams center, He completed his BSS and MSS Degree from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet Bangladesh holding the 1st Position in the Batch. Then He has done his second Masters on Development Studies from the University of Dhaka. He has also Specialized PGD in Enterprise/ Entrepreneurship Development from the Dhaka School of Economics.
Mr Golam received various training from home and abroad including Singapore, Republic of Korea and Turkey.
