Gordian Troeller was born in Gander Newfoundland in April 1947. His parents were Charles Gordian Troellr a well known journalist/filmmaker and Ruth Troeller ( nee Kahn) who taight Philosophy and Economics at many universities and also had a think tank based in Mexico City 'EARLY YEARS' Gordian spent most of his pre-teenage years in Geneva Switzerland where he attended the International School there. In 1960 he, his sister Ines and their mother moved to the UK and settled in London Gordian attended the French Lycee. UNIVERSITY In 1968 Gordian attended Manchester University for the first time, reading Politics and Economics in which he soon discovered he had no interest. So during this time, he became active in the Student Union and was one of very few first year students to be elected to the student council and also became the Editor of the Student Newspaper. In April that year, he succeeded Chris Wright as Social Secretary. However, unfortunately due to his lack of interest in his academic subjects he failed his end of year exams and had to leave. After a stint working for a fashion photographer in Camden Town, he returned to Manchester to study Drama and was a member of the group which created and organised the University THeatre and Drama Group's Summer Festival which included street theatre: new plays, exhibitions and more'
