Gowtham Avula (born 8 February 1997) is a budding radio jockey who is presently associated with AP9FM[1]. Also, he has experience in anchoring stage shows and has done a fair share of social services as well.
Personal life:
Gowtham Avula was born to Avula Rama Koteswara Rao(police officer) and A. Bhu Lakshmi on February 8th, 1997. He did his schooling at Sri ABC public school, Tenali[2], Guntur District. He was born and brought up in Guntur district.
Gowtham graduated from ASN Degree college. He has a bachelor's degree in MEC and also has a master's degree in business management. He did his MBA at K. Chandra Kala PG college.
Professional Career:
As soon as Gowtham completed his master's, he left to Hyderabad and completed a 2-year course in Animation technology. Soon after, he went back to his hometown, Tenali in pursuit of a government job.
After attending a Panchayat Raj examination, Gowtham came to know about an audition for radio jockey and tried his hand at it. That's how he got into AP9FM[3], a leading radio station based in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and has been associated with the company since 2017.
Gowtham's first show was named Weekend Masti and it used to go on air every weekend (Friday and Saturday). With constant progress in this field, Gowtham soon started working on daily shows, which are aired between 10 AM and 11 AM every day.
The Multi-talented radio presenter has worked on promotions of noted Telugu films namely 'Choosi Choodagane', 'Heza', 'Ramachakkani Seetha', 'Sita on the roads', '30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela', and 'Anukunnadi Okati Ainadhi Okati'. During his college days, Gowtham served as Tamil superstar, Suriya Fans association president, such was his love towards cinema, in general. In his leisure time, Gowtham used to create memes which were later posted on social media platforms.
Gowtham aspires to become an actor one day and has been moving towards it for a while now. Gowtham's father, Rama Koteswara Rao too aspired to become an actor but could not do so, owing to a few personal reasons. However, Gowtham is taking forward his father's dream and is determined to prove himself as a worthy actor. His debut Telugu movie is G-Zombie (2020)[4] set to start rolling on July 20th and more details about the will be out in the days to come. Additionally, he is in consideration for 2 other projects which are expected to hit the floors sooner or later. He is inclined towards photography and also has appropriate skills.
Gowtham now has a full-time career as a radio jockey and wishes to make the most of it. He has ample experience in anchoring stage shows as a part of movie promotions. He is inclined towards social service and tries to lend a helping hand for those in need.
