Intro
editI'm an American biology student with a passion for education. I believe that education is the path to a better life and a better society. It is a human right and a societal good, and it's best furthered by crowd-sourced, open projects like Wikipedia, OpenStreetMap, and others.
My primary work so far has been on articles within Wikiprojects related to biology and neighboring subjects. As a relatively new editor, I have largely kept to simple(ish) work such as article assessments (via Rater which I highly recommend), cleanup templates, wikification, and copy-editing. Below, you can see a list of pages that I work from. It is slowly expanding as I gain experience and confidence.
As visible in my userboxes, I also have an interest in translation. I've taken a break from German as a whole in my life recently, and I have been heavily focused on biology since it is my area of study. However, in the future I predict to make translation a significant portion of my editing work. I say I want Wikipedia to be available to all people, and I mean that. While my best strengths are in editing the English Wikipedia, I will do what I can to help make information available in other languages as well.
