List of Armenians who contributed in saving the lives of Jewish people during the Holocaust
editThe following names are of people who wen above and beyond in contributing in helping harbor Jewish families during the Holocaust. These names are verified and were taken from the Yad Vashem list of Righteous Amongst the Nations.

editAgopian, Ashghen - (Born 1907 - passed 1986) Lived in Odessa Ukraine during the Holocaust and helped save Maria Rabinovich Reshetova and Dina Rabinovich Agopian by hiding them from authorities.
Beurkdjian, Yervante and Elbis - French Armenian family who took in a jewish family of Joseph and Hélène Goldhamer during the Paris roundup of the Jews. They hid them in their apartment in Colombes, France.
Dilsizian, George (born ? - passed 1946) - Hid Jews in the village of Brunoy in a suburb of Paris. People he saved were Kavi Salo, Samuel Savi, and Caroline Leon Elbaz.
Dilisizian, Andre (born 1907- passed 13/12/1971) - Helped Jews by hiding them in village of Montacher-Villegardi south of Paris. He was able to save Corine Savi Esperance and Ida Savi Cohen.
Hougassian Albert, Makrouhi and daughter Berthe - Saved a Jewish family of Tuncman Albert, Paulette and their young daughter by hiding them from the roundup of Jews in Lyon, France. Albert was especially sensitive to Tuncman's terrible situation as he himself was an Armenian Genocide Survivor.
Jeretzian, Ara (born 1918) - Ara was born in Istambul, Turkey after the Armenian Gneocide and with his family moved to Budapest. There he joined the nationalist Arrow Crows party. Upon understanding that his party will be aiding the roundup of Jews in Budapest. Ara used his high-ranking position to harbor Jewish doctors in a Hospital under falsified Arian Doccuments. By doing so Mr. Jeretzian was able to save over 400 jews from concentration camps.
Kisheshyan Arut, Natalia (Ukrainian) and daughter Almaza - Almaza was the most active of the three family embers in rescuing her friend Reiza Krasova and her two son's Yakov and Vadim. The Krasov's were rounded up along with other Jews of Kharkov after the German invasion of the USSR. They were all placed into the city's tractor plant. Almaza smuggled Ruiza and her young sons out of the plant and brought them to the Kisheshyan residence where they stayed until the end of the war. All of the Jews held in the tractor plant were killed in 1942.
Mkrtychan, Vartan his mother Arakel and cousin Knarik- After the German invasion of Kharkov. All Jews were ordered to be rounded up at the tractor plant on the outskirts of the city. Josef Taraszinsky who narrowly escaped the roundup was harbored by his friend Vartan. Vartan gave Joseph falsified documents and the both lived at Vartan's house until German army withdrew. In 1943 both Vartan and Josef enlisted in the Red Army. Vartan never came back from the war, when Joseph returned he married Knarik, Vartan's cousin.
Tashchian, Aram and Felicia- Housed Valentin Sidelsky for the duration of the war in Vienna, Austria.
