Dr. Gregory S. Waddell was a missionary church planter in Uruguay and Argentina from 1982 to 2004. He served as the Executive Director for Envoy Christian Mission from 2004 to 2006. Dr. Waddell is now serving as the Director of Institutional Improvement for Mid-South Christian College (MSCC). His responsibilities with MSCC include teaching classes in theology and leadership and leading the process of continuous institutional learning.
Greg received his Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree from Regent University. His area of emphasis was organizational learning and cultural diversity. Greg also has an M.A. degree in Practical Theology from the Cincinnati Christian Seminary (now the Cincinnati Christian University) and an M.A. in Organizational Development and Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. Greg and his wife Dawn live in Memphis, Tennessee.
Greg's theological roots lie in the Restoration Movement tradition, a movement that has a dual focus of Christian unity and loyalty to the Bible as the inspired Word of God. This tradition is represented by churches that call themselves Independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ.
Greg's interests revolve around organizational development as applied both to the corporate and to the religious domains. His areas of study include organizational learning; national cultural differences; institutional improvement; hermeneutics; eschatology and other areas related to theology and organizational theory.
Greg is a native English speaker but speaks Spanish fluently, having lived in Latin America for 21 years.
