Bioshock block quote
editThe original antagonist in Bioshock, Andrew Ryan, is credited with this quote on his under the Sea utopia of Rapture:
"I am Andrew Ryan and I'm here to ask you a question; Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? No. No says the man in the Vatican, it belongs to God. No says the man in Washington, it belongs to the government. No says the man in the Moscow, it belongs to everyone. I rejected those answers and chose the impossible. I chose Rapture. With the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your home too."
This is one of the games' more famous quotes presented to the player character when they arrive in rapture following their plane crash (later revealed to be a hijacking instigated by the character themselves).
