Mara Averick is a consultant and Tidyverse Developer Advocate. She is currently working at R Studio as a Tidyverse Dev Advocate[1].
Education
editAverick graduated from the Brown University in 2007 where she majored in Science and Technology Studies.[2]
Work
editAverick previously worked at a startup called Stattleship that worked with Sports Analytics. As well as, working as a consultant at TCB Analytics.[3] She now works at R Studio as a Tidyverse Developer Advocate, where she has participated in mulitple R Studio confrence talks.[4] Most conference talks have been in New York City, but Averick was a part of the Washington DC R conference debut.[5] She is also known for being one of R's ardent advocates as she highlights material for new learners on her popular Twitter account.[6]
