~Albanian Theatre~

The Albanian Theatre has a long tradition in the Upper Balkans. Beginning in the early years of the Macedonian Empire under the enlightened, albeit tyranical leadership of Enver Hodga (857BC - 778BC) the Albanian Theatre continued to flourish until the advent of the Communist reformation in the 17th Century. It was exactly then, that the Albanian Theatre went underground. The reason for the sudden demise of such an important art form for the Albanian men, women, children, and domestic animals is not exactly known, however, experts speculate that the demise may have had something to do with the Bubonic Plague that plagued the Albanian men, women, children, and domestic animals.
