Negotiation Techniques
editLowball/Highball Lowball (highball) negotiators begin with an absurdly low (or high) opening offer that they know they can never achieve. According to the notion, the extreme offer will compel the other party to reconsider his or her original opening offer and move closer to or beyond their resistance point.
A good cop/bad cop negotiation is when two parties engage in tactical negotiating to benefit from the other's disadvantage. It occurs during a negotiation between two parties when two members from the same party treat the other party as excellent or bad.
