Wines of Argentina. In 1993, "Argentine Top Wines" was created within the framework of the Argentine Wine Association (Asociación Vitivinícola Argentina) as a grouping which gathered about a dozen exporting wineries, producers of labels that are highly-recognized in the local market and emerging in the foreign market.
Two years later, in 1995, the Agreement for the Promotion of Argentine Wines Abroad was signed by the National and Provincial Governments , and “Wines of Argentina” was born out of the decision to create a country brand to promote Argentine wines at international wine events and fairs.
Wines of Argentina opened its first Press and Public Relations Office in the United Kingdom in 1998. The same year, the First Wines of Argentina Annual Tasting was held in London with the participation of 35 wineries and the support of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Exportar Foundation.
In 1999 a Special Fund was created for the promotion of Argentina wine exports to the UK and the US. In 2002, Wines of Argentina held for the first time a seminar with the purpose of defining the new profile of the organization and identifying the necessary resources to reach its objectives facing the next triennium.
In 2003 a new corporate image was designed and the first advertising campaign was launched in the USA, the UK and Brazil in 2004.
Currently, Wines of Argentina is present in 28 countries and more than 50 cities around the world. Its main goal is to continue working on Argentina’s brand and image in the wine market by means of activities related to communication, training, technology and a constant search for excellence in the quality of Argentine wines.
