born in a family of brothers and Tatoekah Slamet. Slamet is a small merchant who lived from selling chicken cut in their traditional markets in the city. As a simple family, Slamet is hoping that their children can go to school high as possible to have a better life.
In the 1996 number of established artists Surabaya Surabaya Artist solidarity with the aim of creating a memory for Gombloh considered a hero by the city's artists. They agreed to make Gombloh statue weighing 200 kg of bronze. The statue was placed in the page People's Amusement Park Surabaya, one of the city's arts center.
