Sanni Olawale Sheriffdeen (born 09 September, 1999), known professionally as Halogen, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.[2][3] He is known as the president of his controversial fan base, "HIA".[4][5]

Early life and education
Halogen was born in Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria. At the age of 15, he moved to Ghana and came back to Nigeria t the age of 18.[6] He studied at Command Day Secondary School before attending Livingstone Model College, where he obtained his General Certificate of Secondary Education. Halogen is an under-graduated with a distinction in Biological Science from Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode. [7]
Career 2017–2020: Career beginnings While growing up, Halogen had plans of becoming an Disk Jocker and voice-over artist. He began singing in 2017 after discovering his passion for music and was encouraged by close-knit friends to pursue music. He released his first track "Hustle Everyday" prouced by Pherari beat official producer of Qdot in 2017.[8][9]
In December 2018, he released the Kodexx NBB, Skidough and Seanlake-assisted single "Kiso(Posi wole)", produced by Moneytunez, which became the theme song for Tasued Students.[10] Halogen sings in English, Pidgin and Yoruba; his music is a blend of Afro-beats and hip-hop and also a versatile rapper. He derived his stage name from the characteristics of Halogen which is lecturer usually tel him he normally exhibit in the course of study, COURSE HE LOVE SO MUCH.[12]
2019–present: "Doubt me", Halogen released the Kodexx NBB and Lafia-assisted track "Doubt me"[13] on 4 December 2019.[17] also produced my Moneytunes
