Lawrence Woo (Politician)
Lawrence Woo is the Liberal Party of Canada candidate in the federal electoral district of Richmond Centre.
A chartered accountant with a proven track record of community involvement, Lawrence Woo has deep roots in Richmond – the place he called home for 14 years and where he raised his two children.
Lawrence opened his own accounting firm in 1983 where he practiced in Vancouver until 2009 before becoming vice-president of KAP Management Ltd., a locally owned, full-service real estate management company. He is a founding member and former chair of the SUCCESS Foundation – a charitable organization responsible for raising funds for one of British Columbia’s largest social service agencies, SUCCESS. Lawrence is also the former president of the Rotary Club of Vancouver Chinatown, and served on the Council of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, the licensing and regulatory body responsible for BC’s professional engineers and geoscientists.
Lawrence is the proud recipient of the Community Service Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC, and was honoured with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for his outstanding contributions and tireless dedication to his community.
